CCERP on October 19th and 20th, 2018

Thanks to those who were at the recently concluded CCERP 2017 event. This year we had industry day on Friday and a day of academic papers on Saturday. While there was relatively light attendance, everyone seemed to be engaged and came away with new insights and improved connections with those present.

The next CCERP will be on October 19 and 20, 2018.

We have been honored to serve as the conference and program committee for the past years. As we initiate the planning for 2018, we think there should be a broader engagement across our region. So, we propose a new approach for the next conference.

  • Mike Whitman will remain the Chair of the conference committee as the Executive Director of the KSU Center for Information Security Education. We will form two program committees, one for the industry day program and one for the academic program. For 2018, the industry program committee chair will be Herb Mattord and the academic program committee chair will be Carole Hollingsworth.
  • The KSU CISE will continue to host the event at the KSU Center where it was held this year.
  • We will need volunteers for the program committees to assist in structuring the program, recruiting participants to submit papers and presentations, and help improve attendance.

Please save the dates on your calendar for next year's event on October 19 and 20, 2018. We will have a call for program committee members in the Spring. Please consider how you might help us improve CCERP in 2018.

The Colloquium recognizes that the protection of information and infrastructures that are used to create, store, process, and communicate information is vital to business continuity and security. The Colloquium's goal is to work together to define current and emerging requirements for information assurance education and to influence and encourage the development and expansion of information assurance curricula, especially at the graduate and undergraduate levels.
