Developing a Blended Computer Security Course
Online learning is expanding rapidly both for traditional student populations and for industrial and nontraditional student groups. This paper describes an experiment of migrating a computer security lecture course into a blended format, utilizing a combination of online and in-class delivery. The experiment was largely successful, but illuminated a number of factors to be considered in moving to an online format.
The Colloquium™ recognizes that the protection of information and infrastructures that are used to create, store, process, and communicate information is vital to business continuity and security. The goal of The Colloquium™ is to work together to define current and emerging requirements for information assurance education and to influence and encourage the development and expansion of information assurance curricula, especially at the graduate and undergraduate levels.
