Guidelines for Manuscript Preparation
Papers for the workshop are limited to eight pages in a two-column format. It is essential that authors follow the prescribed length and formatting instructions.
- Electronic copies of the paper can be submitted in Word (.doc) or Acrobat (.pdf) format.
- All paper submissions must be blinded for review purposes (all author names and institution references must be removed).
- Manuscripts should be six to eight pages in length. This includes all references, figures, and equations.
- Equations, unless very simple, should be avoided in the body of the text; instead, they should be included as figures.
- Any Greek characters or special notations used in the text body should be clearly identified.
- All terms and symbols, including acronyms, should be defined in the following manner: use the entire name the first time they are mentioned, in lower-case letters, followed by the acronym in parentheses (e.g., "phase-locked loop (PLL)," not "PLL (Phase-Locked Loop)."
- Source references should be noted by end notes as described in the formatting instructions at the end of the paper, not as footnotes.
When submitting electronic versions of papers with figures, please make sure that all figures comply with the following guidance:
- All illustrations should be black and white, with high contrast.
- Do not use shading or color in illustrations as they reproduce poorly. Whenever possible, figures should fit in a single column of the manuscript
