Inventor of L0phtCrack, industry standard Microsoft password auditing tool. Inventor of AntiSniff, world’s

first remote promiscuous system detector that was used across primary D.O.D. entities. Inventor of

Tempwatch, now a distributed component of Linux and BSD distributions. Inventor of SLINT, a pioneering

tool in automating source code analysis to discover security coding problems.

Published papers in ACM and CORE/CQRE refereed journals. Architecture security analysis paper published

in Usenix Security refereed journal. Program Committee member for the refereed industry technical research

journals for Usenix Security and Network and Distributed Systems Security. Testified to the United States

Senate Committee on Government Affairs as a subject matter expert in regards to Government systems.

Testified to the House and Senate Joint Judiciary Oversight Committee as a subject matter expert on legislation

regarding cyber crime. Invited special guest contributor to projects and papers for the Infosec Research

Council (sponsored by various US Government Departments and Agencies).

 

Teaching Engagements and Lectures:

Taught offensive cyber ware-fare techniques and tactics at the AirForce Information Ware-fare Center.

Taught computer forensics and perpetrator methods of operation at the Quantico FBI Headquarters.

Lectured on opposing forces threats and capabilities at the Army War College. Lectured future vulnerability

areas of research, Navy Post-Graduate College and at the national Security Agency.
