Founded in 1996 as the National Colloquium for Information Systems Security Education, the Colloquium has become the leading proponent for implementing courses of instruction in INFOSEC in education.

In June 2002, the NCISSE expanded its mission to include a greater international participation. To reflect this the organization formally changed its name to The Colloquium for Information Systems Security Education or more simply  -- The Colloquium

11th Annual Colloquium: 4-7 June, 2007

Please see the 11th Colloquium Program for new updates.

Call for papers is here.  Author submissions are due 22 March 2007.

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

For the 11th Colloquium, proceedings will take place in one of the cradles of US liberty - - Boston, Massachusetts, at Boston University. Chairing the conference for BU is Dr. Tanya Zlateva, Associate Dean for Academic Programs, Metropolitan College, serving as the Director for the Center for Reliable Information Systems and Cyber Security (RISCS). Tanya and her colleagues at BU will be working with Dr. Corey Schou, The Colloquium director, Dr. Barbara Belon, The Colloquium secretariat, and the Board of Directors. Recognizing that the protection of information and infrastructures that are used to create, store, process and communicate information is vital to the productivity and security of our nation, and to assure the continuity and growth of our infrastructure-based society, the Colloquium provides a forum for dialogue among leading figures in government, industry and academia to work in partnership to define current and emerging requirements for information security education, and to influence and encourage the development and expansion of information security curricula especially at the graduate and undergraduate levels.

The Colloquium Board of Directors and CAE Boston University are pleased to announce that the CNSS Awards Ceremony, recognizing academic institutions for successfully mapping their information assurance curriculum to the National Security Telecommunications Standards and Information Security Instruction (NSTISSI), and the awarding of new Centers of Academic Excellence in IA will be presented on Tuesday night, June 5th, at our celebratory dinner.

All questions can be directed to either Barbara Belon (bbelon@belon-rp.com) or Corey Schou (schou@niatec.isu.edu), the Colloquium Chair .

Warmest regards,

Barbara Belon
