Dear Friends and Colleagues,
The Colloquium has reached our
tenth anniversary and we are returning to the our roots the Baltimore
area.
We are honored this year to
have the tenth annual Colloquium hosted by the United States Government. at the UMUC Inn and Conference Center. Our colleagues in the Federal Government are serving as this year’s Program Chair under the
auspices of Corey Schou, The Colloquium director, Dr. Barbara Belon, The
Colloquium secretariat, and the Board of
Directors.
Recognizing that the protection
of information and infrastructures that are used to create, store,
process and communicate information is vital to the productivity and
security of our nation, and to assure the continuity and growth of our
infrastructure-based society, the Colloquium provides a forum for
dialogue among leading figures in government, industry and academia to
work in partnership to define current and emerging requirements for
information security education, and to influence and encourage the
development and expansion of information security curricula especially
at the graduate and undergraduate levels.
The Colloquium Board of Directors
and the
the Federal Government are pleased to
announce that starting in 2005 the CNSS Awards Ceremony recognizing
academic institutions for successfully mapping their information
assurance curriculum to the National Security Telecommunications
Standards and Information Security Instruction (NSTISSI) will be held in
conjunction with the Colloquium. Certificates will be awarded on June 5,
2006. Please see the link on the Colloquium home page for further
